All the details
I'm original from Bavaria, Germany 🇩🇪, but have been living in Canada 🇨🇦 since 2013. After finishing my Business Information Systems Diploma I joined the team at Solvera (acquired by Accenture), working as a consultant for various government clients. During this time I finished my B. Sc. in Computer Science taking night classes, which I finished in 2018.
After 3 years of consulting, I was looking to get involved with a product. I joined iQmetrix, a leader in the Retail management space, before joining Vivvo (acquired by Converge Technology Solutions). At this stage, Vivvo was a small start-up with a big vision to transform how every citizen interacts with the government. During this time I served on the Outreach committee as a Co-Chair for the Digital Identification & Authentication Council of Canada (DIACC).
After leading the architecture of Vivvo's Citizen One's trust platform, I finished my time with Vivvo implementing the backbone of identification and validation that allows an entire province to access their Health Records digitally. From government trust framework to health care startup. 2019, before the pandemic I joined a small team at Outpost Health to build a Digital Health platform focused on providing Digital Health Access and Payments to emerging markets. The platform has been recognized by the UNWTO as a leading solution to help accelerate the recovery of tourism in the wake of the pandemic.
Taking a break from start-ups, I joined Bitovi, where I became the Co-Director of the React department shortly after. My contributions were split between growing the React department and leading and working with teams at Fortune 500 companies.
As much as I enjoy consulting, I knew my heart was in building products. I joined Anedot, an online donation platform with over $1B in transaction volume. During my time there, I was able to lead the complete rewrite of a 10+ year old RoR application into a React-based frontend.
After being involved in many complete rewrites, design system creations, and greenfield projects, I saw an opportunity to create a software studio that would helps startups to move fast, and large corporations and government entities to move with confidence. Thus, I founded Kollektiv Software Studio Inc. Kollektiv Software Studio has contributed to government agencies, delivered consulting services, and acted as an early-stage investor.
